This message helped me. I had the same problem after upgrading from PSE 2.

Why don’t you put the instructions about uninstalling previous versions in the Read Me and Instasllation instructions? It aggravates me to have to spend time going out to places like this to find such basic information. I probably wasted an hour and a half more getting this resolved.

Barry, in your case, there shouldn’t have been a problem leaving PSE 2.0 on, as long as it wasn’t the 30 day demo version. That’s the only thing that has to be removed entirely. Many of us have two complete full versions installed. There must have been something else going on, and these instructions just happened to "fix" it! Of course, I am glad of that.

Oh, and this is a user to user forum, so "us" don’t ever get much input in deciding what Adobe what should – or should not! – include with the software. 🙂
