ALL Photoshop Products "Not-responding"

My old CS2, a CS3 triai, AND Photoshop Elements 5 trial all do not respond. New installations etc, etc??????????????????

Nothing in my computer has changed.

Need help please as my work is grinding to a halt. Only my old PE2 now works.

the old standby is reset the preferences, see the faq. also read the above link on how to get help quickly.

Can not set preferences as neither CS2, CS3 or PE5 will open. All three programs go "non responding" before they fully open or with first mouse movement.

Make sure you include all relevant details in your post, such as:

The exact version of the Adobe Application you are running. CS3 and PE5 trial as now on site

Your Operating System details =XP Pro SP2 + all updates. Amount of installed RAM = 2gb
Amount of free disk space= 80% free.
Make/Model of Video Card = ATO FireGL 3100.
Printer Details if you have a print problem
The EXACT text of any Error Messages you saw all programs just go "non-respondidng" Precise symptoms of your problem. Before fully opening CS3 goes non-responsive. PE5 opens but goes non-responsive on first mouse movement.

you don’t need to start the app to reset the prefs (as described in the faq). however as it’s more than one app there could be something else going on. do you have any network attached printers that maybe are off or no longer connected? if so remove them from your printers applet.

Dave: I had already tried dleteing the *.psp files. make no difference.
