8 bit bitmap fine for that sort of size, and it still looks good?<<

Since printer drivers only handle 8-bit/channel files, when you print a 16-bit image is converted to 8-bit/channel in any case.

That’s beginning to change < http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/printers/canon-ipf 5000.shtml>, though I suspect it won’t be reaching flexo box printers any time soon.
