Hey everyone I am having trouble with moving selections. I have a selection I have done in Photoshop that I want to move to Illustrator. However, when I move it, the selection comes with a white background instead of the selection itself and no background. How can I correct this? I want a transparent background on my selection when I move it to Illustrator 🙁 Any help would be very much appreciated!

For reference, using Photoshop 9.0.2 and Illustrator 12.0.1

I’m guessing from your description that you’re simply copy/pasting or dragging from Photoshop. That won’t work.

Save the file as a PSD and then use file>place command in Illustrator to place the file there.
