If I need to make color adjustments to pictures in a PDF, I delete all the text and save just the pictures on that layout. I then open the PDF in Photoshop to make the adjustments. This way, I can place the Photoshop file in the correct position in InDesign. How can I open the PDF and keep the original size? For instance, the crop size is 8.5×11 but the PDF is 8.75×11.25 to allow for bleed. How can I tell Photoshop to use the bleed size when opening?

If the bleed in ID is outside of the document size, I dont think PS will recognize that.

You can resize the canvas in PS with the orientation set to center to recreate that bleed.

That is NOT the way to adjust a photo in a PDF. Use Acrobat’s touch up object tools.
