Hey there everyone, new poster here.

I’m looking for some help on recovering a file. A rather important piece of digital art from has gone missing, but as it’s a couple years old it’s unlikely to still be sitting somewhere in the hard drive’s free memory. However, I did find an ‘Adobe Photoshop file browser metadata cache file’ and an ‘Adobe Photoshop file browser thumbnail cache file’ that have names similar to the original piece of art.

However, can’t see a way of opening them. Photoshop tells me it’s ‘not the right kind of document’, and I don’t know what other application to use.

So, I ask of you all, do I have any hope of recovering the image? And if so, how should I go about it?

Many thanks,

-J

Your image isn’t in them, but go to Get Info to get an app to open them with.
