Photoshop CS2 crashes when checking spelling! HELP

For some reason My version of Photoshop simply crashes as soon as I go to the check spelling option. I have learned to live with it and do my spell checking in other programs but does this happend to anyone else? Or can anyone help me resolve it?

Power PC G4, 1.25 GHz
2G of Ram
OS X 10.4.8

Photoshop CS2 9.0.2

What routine maintenance have you done? Did you try throwing out your prefs?

My first quess would be a bad font. Have you tested your fonts?

does spell check crash in a new user?

I tried it using a new user and again it crashed. My fonts have been checked and I use Font Agent Pro that automatically doesn’t allow you to have bad fonts. I will try throwing away prefs next. Thank you for your help…
