Sorry, but got no relief in the Bridge forum.
G5/dual/2.0ghz/1.5gigRAM/OSX4.8/CS2/Bridge 1.0.4.6 w CS2 Photoshop 9.02
Unbelievable crashing. I’m trying to view a collection of folders of eps images for the first time, all on my HD. If I view a folder and touch/scroll my trackball anywhere in the menu, WHAM, Bridge quits. If I do not touch after selecting the folder, Bridge may open it completely, but who wants or needs to sit around continuously waiting.
What’s the deal with this Bridge always crashes when building the cache?
I’ve repaired all permissions, and rebooted. It must be that Bridge cannot successfully preview EPS files in large quantities because any movement of the cursor while creating the image cache destabilizes Bridge and it crashes.
I went ahead and downloaded QPict. It works great, but not as editrable as Bridge.
I wish for the Version 7 file browser again. Gosh, that was so simple ahd IT ACTUALLY WORKED. jr
