Type effects wont import into corel 10

What the heck am I doing wrong.

I make some type and apply some effects
and give it a white drop shadow and save as a psd with a transparent background. It all looks great. When I import it into corel 10 all I get is the type with no effects. I tried rasterizing the text but that did not help. Am I doing something out of order?

Its the effects. Try flattening the image before importing. Yeah, you lose the type vectors, but you keep the effects.

No, you're just expecting Corel to do something that they can't do.
