I use Windows 98.
It seems that if you want to use the type tool, you can move the paragraph right or left or center but you cannot justify the type, that is have the each sentence at the right side of the paragraph end at the same place. Is there a way to do this in Elements?

If not, is there a way to import type from another program such as MS Works word processor or Corel Word Perfect?

Thanks for the help.

Don’t know if this is what you’re looking for. When you have the text tool selected there is a special tool bar that is displayed. On that tool bar you will find buttons that will enable you to left justify, right justify or center your text. If that is not what you are referring to, please feel free to clarify.

The the OP meant more about auto kerning so that type is not just lined up left or right but actually spread out proportionally (which is justified formatting).

Answer is, no. The left/right/center is it.
Elements (and full Photoshop for that matter, although it has some more control), are very weak on text.

I just pasted in justified paragraph from Word 2000 into Elements, and it didn’t even preserve line breaks, let alone justification, just came in as one long line.

Photoshop allows you do delineate text box, but the justification paste didn’t work there either.
