Hi,

I want to create a simple animated gif that would spell out the word ‘news’ letter by letter.

I would then like to place this gif on to my webpage where ideally it would repeat at interval determined by me ?

Is this easy to to do, any instructions greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Andy.

Yes, it is easy to do.

Make one layer for each letter, something like this:

layer 4: NEWS
layer 3: NEW
layer 2: NE
layer 1: N

Then click the icon on the bottom of the Tool Palette that takes you into ImageReady.

In the Animation Palette, make one frame for each layer. Set time interval. For repeat, simply set the last frame of the animation to the period you want it to appear, before repeating itself.
