Web Photo Gallery Freezes

Once I choose File | Automate \ Web Photo Gallery, click on Browse to locate my source folder, and click on a drive, Photoshop freezes for a very, very long time before displaying folders. This also happens after I click on Destination and select a destination folder. Any ideas???

Running XP Home Edition, Photoshop 7.01.
