I’m working in Photoshop 7 and if I zoom in/out or move a layer around, an unusal line pattern shows up as either R, G or B.
Has anyone every experienced this? Do I need to re-install Photoshop? Thanks.

Could be bad RAM or a bad display card. It comes often on this forum. Do a forum search.

the files do print with the patterns, does than mean it’s probably the RAM?

Probably.

BTW, ‘bad RAM’ encompasses mismatched RAM modules too.

It could also be some other bad hardware, a cable, a bad connection Â…

If the patterns are printing, it sounds like a corrupt file.

Someone didn’t work on that file across a network did they?

Or this could simply be moiré from scanning a halftone image. Can you post a link to a Web page with a sample of this aberration?

Mark,

Just to add to what Ann just wrote:

If you are opening files over a network or saving them to a network server, cease and desist immediately. That’s a BIG no-no.

Copy the CLOSED file from your server to your local HD, work on it, save it again to your HD, close it, and copy the closed file back to the server.
