rgb vs. cmyk image change

I worked on some photos in rgb, then changed to cmyk. The photos look identical on the screen in Photoshop. If I then place them in Pagemaker, the cmyk versions get very dark, color-saturated and blocked-up looking. Any idea why?

You need to look at the Color Settings in Page4maker and make sure it is the same as in Photoshop. It is 95% that your Color Setting are different, so this is why you will see colors differently in the two programs.

use "setup cmyk" in the "view" menu (select cmyk) shortcut for the proof "apple Y"
