Installing PS7 along with PS6

Can I install PS7 as a completely different, separate program if I already have PS6
installed? Or will it automatically start sharing files? —

yes you can install and use both with no problems

yes you can install and use both with no problems
That’s the opposite of what I found. after installing PS7, PS6 would not start, giving me a "terminal error" message.
PS7 was installed in its own folder
