Hi

Installing newly-purchased PS2.0 on newly-purchased Dell 8350 with XPpro, 1Gb RAM, 240Gb disk (2 x 120Gb with RAID stripe).

It gets to "Installing language-dependent files, please wait" and then goes from 0 – 100% over and over and over… I left it on overnight, still going in the morning. Also – difficult to quit out of install program, machine doesn’t want to shut down (in the end a related background process reports as not wanting to end).

I now have a half-installed version which sort-of works but things appear to be missing – get various warnings, some things don’t work, etc and doesn’t appear to de-install cleanly either.

How do I:

1. Clean up my machine and get all the half-installed stuff off,
2. Make the installation succeed this time.

And by the way – Adobe – why is such a simple thing proving to be so difficult? There’s nothing special about me, or my machine – surely it should "just work"??

Thanks all.

Alastair.
