Browser crashing

I’m using PS 7 and a Mac running OS 10.6.2.
The file browser will suddenly crash when using and when it does, even after a restart, it won’t run at all. I ever trashed the Adobe Photoshop preferences file and that does no good. Is there an update or patch to eliminate this behavior?

There is an update, here:

Also update to 7.0.1 if you haven’t already. Hope it helps.
