CS File Browser Crashing?

Trying to help a friend with a repeatable file browser crash in Photoshop CS. Machine crashes and locks up- CS is frozen on the screen- can’t force quit. Often happens while scrolling or moving mouse. G5 on system 10.3.3,, 1GB RAM. Wiped disk, re-installed system, and Photoshop and the problem persists. Cleared Browser cahce, permissions cheked fine, cleared caches w/ cocktail etc…. I am guessing a RAM problem?….Machine and Photoshop work fine otherwise…

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

If the whole machine freezes, bad RAM is absolutely a prime suspect.
