Photoshop CS (OS X) Image browser crashes

Any ideas why the image browser is crashing when I try to open a folder with jpegs in the image browser? I’ve tried deleting the prefs and the problem persists.

Of course, the folder may just have a corrupted file…

Try to purge cache or the whole cache. Then open in he file browser the folder, wait until all previews and metainformations are ready. Than export the cache of this folder. In the future export the cache of each folder when you have changed any file and purge the cache regulary. You will get a stabilization and a much faster preview of your images.
