I’m looking for a flourescent orange to compliment this card stock we got for wedding invitations. The card stock is by Bazzill Products and the color is Butterfly (Butterfly-12). The color on the internet does not match the card stock we purchased.

In standard litho printing fluorescent inks are very tricky to print and maintain the flourescent quality. Many of the inks are transparent and the color of the paper will show through the ink…and a coated, strong white paper stock is needed to hold the color. Fluorescents inks formulations are very difficult to tinker with on press, because the addition of other colored inks cancels the fluorescent quality.

You might try printing an opaque white ink only under the fl orange. Or see if an opaque fluorescent ink is available. Discuss the issue with your printer and/or press foreman.
