Using Magnetic Lasso

I am enlarging an image so that I can ue the Magnetic Lasso to make a selection. Because the image is large I need to use the slider to get across the whole image. How do I do this while I am using the lasso tool?

Merrill,

With the cursor on the image, hold down the spacebar and a ‘hand’ will appear onscreen. Just click/drag with the mouse to move around.
