Can I now uninstall V 6.0.1 or is it part of the total package ?

Completely separate. To be safe, make sure to say no to uninstalling any shared files.

However you will lose the ability to view PSD files as thumbnails in Windows Explorer.

If you leave shared files, the psicon.dll may just stay on the system. To be honest, I’m not sure.
