I have this image that is 50 px by 50 px square that I want to place another image over.

The second image is a "ring" that is chrome. The effect that I want to get is the original picture inside the chrome ring, with the outside of the chrome ring transparent.

I have played around with channels, and I cannot seem to get this figured out.

These new images will be used as markers in an online strategy game.

Any help?

Thanks

Sandeman

Make a selection of the outside area of the ring, then either delete on the other layer, or better, make it into a Layer Mask.
