Upgrading to CE in Win ME?

The system requirements for CS seem to be Windows 2000 or XP. Has anyone tried to upgrade to ME? I know sometimes a manufacturer recommends a faster or more recent machine because of speed, etc., but it will work fine on an earlier version of Windows.
