Hello,

Hope someone here can help me with this (little) problem. I would like to copy a few layers from one document to another. Somehow I must always
-first copy the layer,
-paste it in the new document,
-go back to the old document and copy the layerstyle of that particular layer
– and go to the new document to paste that layerstyle.
My question: Ain’t it possible to do all this in just one copy-paste action?

TIA

Loek

You go to the black arrow on the top right-hand of your layer pallette, click to display the flyout menu.
Select ‘Duplicate Layer’ from the menu and then select your destination document within that.

Link the layers you want to copy and drag them to the new document. As you drag, hold SHFT to center them

To get a layer from one document to another, do not use copy/paste at all.

All you need to do is use the Move tool to drag the layer from one document directly into the other.
