Hi all,

can photoshop cs export as a cineon ? any plug-ins available ? I know that it can import, but I am interested also in cineon export from photoshop with full floating point precision.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks very much.

Stefan,

A Google search on cineon + export + photoshop brings up a host of links…

Cineon is an integer format (10 bits per channel) — it can’t do floating point at all, and neither can Photoshop CS.

Photoshop CS does include an optional Cineon file format plugin that reads and writes Cineon files.

Hello Chris,

is this plug-in included in Photoshop CS, or is it purchased separately?

I haven’t checked, but if it’s optional, it might be on the cd in the "Goodies" folder…

Chris,

According to the techdoc http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/32216.htm ..cin is only supported for import, not export. Does the Techdoc require correction?

Yes, the tech doc needs to be corrected.

Cineon saves just fine (for 16 bit/channel RGB only).

Thanks, Chris – I assume you will alert the relevant technical author(s)?
