I have some older raw images I’d like to generate the side car files for. I use side car files exclusively now, but a year ago I did not. I want to export all those raw image xmp’s now and I’ve read that you can create a custom action to open, then close without saving. This does not seem to be working for me…no xmp files are generated. I can open manually then close it and it will (and that’s how I created the action). I can also open the raw viewer and alt-click on the update button but that is very time consuming.
I did double check that I am over riding the open command to make sure it wasn’t something stupid like reopening the same file I created the action with. Any ideas??
