How do I adjust the elliptical marquee tool I want to get it a specific size over a round object in my picture, is there a way to adjust the diameter when over the object for a better fit.

You can also press the Space Bar to move your selection around for better positioning as you are making the selection….as long as you don’t let up on your mouse!

Hold down the <ALT> key (presumably Option on the Mac) and the selection will grow concentric to your click. Shift constrains it to a circle, if desired…
