Converting photoshop files … need advice

Hello –

I’ve got 120+ individual photoshop PSD’s in RGB, and each of them are mostly black and white with 4 additional colors (the same colors used in each file).

I need to somehow get those colors converted to Pantone spot colors. As I understand it, Photoshop won’t allow for true Pantone separations, and will use some sort of process color approximation. What is the fastest way of getting this done? Should the PSD’s be converted to another format and then run some sort of batch color search/replace utility?

Any help would be appreciated,

No need. Photoshop supports spot colors, including Pantone seps. Use the color picker to find the closest pantone color – click on the color library button in the picker and select the appropriate coated or uncoated Pantone set.
