Curves/Levels/Color management

When I go to tone photos with curves or levels in Photoshop 7.0. The curve or levels area is solid black. If I click in the right places, it will do what it normally would, but I am toning blindly. On my other computers with the same photo the dialogue box looks normal, so I think it maybe a color management setting, please help, I am using Windows 98.

Sounds like a video driver problem.

As a diagnostic, turn down hardware acceleration to zero. If that helps it is definitely a vid-driver problem – trot off to your vid-card manufacturer’s web site and check for an updated one
