I create a file with several layers and save it, then when I go to reopen it, I get this message:
COULD NOT COMPLETE YOUR REQUEST BECAUSE OF A PROGRAM ERROR.

I would appreciate any help on this that I could get. I am running Windows XP Pro, with Adobe PS cs. I also have ps 7.0 which I can go to and open the file, but it was created in CS and won’t open in CS, but will open in 7.0. Help!!!! Please reply to this post if you have in information.

Thank you
Robert

Yes, I can shut down and reboot and go back into PS cs and try to open the file. When I got to open and click on it the icon picture shows the file but when I try to open it, I watch the status bar and it seems to be doing all the necessary things and when its done, the little window pops up giving me the error message. Now this seems to only do it on files that I’ve created a number of layers and used blending options. I have re-installed the program an it’s still the same.

I don’t think that uninstalling CS removes everything CS added to your computer.
Try uninstalling CS, then use a registry cleaner, turn off your computer and then try installing again
