Has anyone here tried to make hybrid images of this type – http://cvcl.mit.edu/hybridimage.htm . If you download the PDF on the page there is more detailed information.

I read an article about them in New Scientist and it seemed like a simple enough technique.

I’m looking to see if anyone has any methods for doing this?

Thanks.

Read their paper. It explains the technique. Photoshop has the filters and features to do it.

I used a gaussian blur and the high pass filter. Is there a low pass filter in Photoshop?

I wanted to see if anyone had their own techniques.

Right in the same menu with high-pass.

Not in my version of Photoshop, CS2. In the filter>other menu there is just, custom, highpass, maximum, minimum and offset.
