Signs in upper left corner of any image

There’s a sign composed of a "01" and something that looks like a small diagram in the upper left corner on all images I open in PS 7.0. These signs wasn’t there before so I guess I must have done something. Not a big problem, but how do I get rid of it? And BTW, what’s the use of those signs anyway? Thanks.

That comeon when you select the slicing select tool, (for slicing web graphics) go view menu and untick Extras
