Hi there,
I’m in no way a photoshop/imageready expert, so forgive me if what I’m trying to do is far-fetched or just plain wrong…

Anyway I have a series of 100 or so screenshots, and I’d like to overlay some text info onto all of these. The screenshots are all named uniquely (eg 8005.jpg, 8006.jpg…), and I can organise the text I want to overlay in a simple csv file such as:

id,name,date,myvar1,myvar2
8005,Screenshot1,10-12-05,random text,more text
8006,Screenshot2,11-12-05,other text,different text
.. . .

My ideal situation would be to supply my csv file to imageready, and then supply the folder with all my screenshot images. From there it could batch open each image in the folder, and then (based on the filename) ‘lookup’ the relevant record in my csv file, and place the text fields from that record accordingly onto the image, and finally resave.

I have photoshop/imageready cs, but I’ve only really worked with simple cropping/resizing actions in photoshop, never something this complex.

Can somebody tell me:
1). Is this possible?
2). If yes, could you outline the steps for me please?
3). If no, how much of this task can I actually automate in imageready, or should I try to look for a different solution?

Thanks,
Sven.
