yes. Actually, in theory, 2.8 x 10^14 or 280 trillion colors

The math says over 200 *trillion* colors. It depends, of course, what the bits are allocated for, but I’ve not seen anything other than three 16-bit color channels, which would make that estimate correct. (Please presume no authority in my comments.)
