How to save photoshop CS images with a composite image

I use photoshop CS to draw my files for my cartoons and I use adobe premiere to animate the files. Now when I import the files i made with CS into premiere I get a message that reads This layered photoshop file was not saved with a composite image. Now how do I save my files a composite image?
