I am trying to share a Photoshop CS layered PSD file with a client that has Photoshop 7. If I save the file with the "maximize compatibility" option, the client is only able to view a single layer file. If I save with compatibility turned off, Photoshop 7 displays a multi-language error message instead of the image. The file in question is not using any CS specific features that weren’t already supported in Photoshop 7.
I was able to gracefully share PSDs between Photoshop 6 and 7. Photoshop 6 would rasterize type layers, but the files were otherwise fine. Am I missing something here? I understand that there are issues sharing files with very old versions, but IMO that should not apply to Photoshop 7.
Thanks,
Robert
