I’m sure this is an elementary procedure to many of you but ut’s kinda new to me and I’ll appreciate some advice.

Often, I want to convert a group of JPEG images to TIFF before doing ANYTHING to them in PS. What’s the most convenient way of doing this?
Yes, I can open each file and then save it as a TIF, but isn’t there a better way?

Thanks.

I like and use "Dr. Brown’s Image Processor" all the time. I certainly recommend it.

ACDSEE does it also.

ERASE!…ERASE!…ERASE!

I figured it out following a brain blast. Found that IRFANVIEW (horrors) does a pretty quick and simple job. Also discovered a number of other programs out there that seem to do the trick as well.
FWIW, the PS method seems awkward and (at least to me) poorly explained anywhere I looked. Ah well…

If you are going to do individual changes on the images in PS some time, there is no need to convert them to TIF before you start working. Just make sure you save intermediate and final work as TIF.
