Placing one photoshop file into another

I know about placing images, but I can’t seem to place one psd file into another file. I’m sure this is very simple, but I can’t figure it out for the life of me. Thanks!

Well, you don’t really place a file into another file. You can take an image from one file, or a layer, or other things, and put those into the other file. Just have both files open and drag the thing(s) you want into the other file.

Save it as a TIF and place that…I assume you want to place these as smart objects.
