I have a series of photographs that vary between horizontal and vertical orientation (however, all the vertical images share the same dimensions, and the horizontals also share the same dimensions).
The first thing I want to do, using Actions, is to insert a black bar along the bottom edge of each image (approx. 50px-75px in height) with an opacity set to 52%.
Then, I would like to insert my watermark – ideally, in the bottom right-hand corner of each image (therefore, within the black bar) with a slight margin between the right edge and the bottom edge of the image.
For the watermark, I have a single-layered PSD image (with a transparent background).
I have attempted a couple of methods (having browsed various related forums): firstly, changing the Units & Measures Preferences to ‘percent’ rather than ‘cm’; but this means that the black bar changes height, and the spacing between the bottom edge of the image and the logo changes between vertical and horizontal.
I have also attempted the ‘Layer > Align’ function, but this command is greyed out for me, and so I cannot use it. I have attempted this feature after both Placing, and Copying and Pasting, my logo image into the new file.
If anybody could offer a suggestion for both these issues, I would be very grateful!
