Or maybe not.
Swiss is usually not a font, but a family of fonts (sans serif). What actual fonts, including the numbers, are failing to come up. If your problem is that they don’t come up in any program, then follow John’s link. But if the problem is that they only don’t come up in Photoshop, you are in the right place.
First, what is the source of the font: Bitstream, Monotype, or other? Have you looked down the entire list of fonts … fonts often get put in non-alphabetic order by Photoshop. Finally, you may have to delete some font.lst files … I think there is an FAQ about that.
Swiss is a Bitstream version of Helvetica (and there is no difference between them that is discernable). They come with CorelDraw, so if you can hunt down the disk that they are on, I would try deleting the ones that are on the system and re-installing them.
You can also delete the adobe font lists (search for Adobe*.lst) that are used for Adobe apps, sometimes rebuilding them with make fonts magically appear.
Lastly, try using the TTF version rather than the Type1.
Thank you for the response. The fonts are the TTF version and they are Swiss 721 bold, heavy and medium. Only the bold is showing up in Photoshop and After Effects, however all of them show up in 3DS Max. This is why I thought is was an Adobe issue. I’ll try to uninstall and reinstall them as you suggested.

Best bets are to search for the Adobe*.lst files, as Bart said, and to make sure that they are not mis-sorted on the menu. Also, check to see if bolding the bold doesn’t give you the heavy. Very old fonts did weird things like that.
You might see if the type styles are selectable within Photoshop when you load a given font. Each type style is actually a different font file. As a result, you may find that the fonts are listed as, in effect, font families, and you need to pick the appropriate style to get the font you want.
