Extract FIlter Window not popping up

im trying to use the extract filter, but when i click it, the blue bar on top gets grayed out (so the PS window gets deselected), and nothing happens. its like it freezes until i press the ESC. key, then everything is back to normal, but i still dont get the extract filter window.

what do i do?

Which version of Windows? Which version of PS? What graphics card? Could be an evil combination out of the 3…

it’s trying to open off screen.

there a FAQ called "dialog box is missing" in the faq section of this forum that may offer some helpful suggestions.
