Styles Not Found

I’m running Photoshop CS3 and XP. PS has stopped recognizing my styles. When I try to load a new style it goes to the proper folder, but displays nothing. When I move my cursor over the folder name, it says "folder is empty." It is not empty. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
