I converted a landscape image to greyscale using a layer/gradient adjustment. The original color image had very slight fringing at the top of a mountain where the sky meets the trees, but the fringing is much more noticeable in the greyscale image as a white outline in one section of the tree tops. I have tried every method I can think of short of pixel editing to get rid of the fringe but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions ? Googling and searching here didn’t come up with anything helpful.
