I have a picture that I have copied from an Email message that I wish to open in PhotoShop Elements 2.0.

The picture file is a "scrap object" file with an extension of .shs.

PhotoShop Elements requires the file to be one of the graphic file formats, such as jpg, bmp, pcx etc before it will open the file.

Is there a converter or some method I can use to change the file format to make it more useful to my needs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jerry

Jerry,

Have a read about shs files…

I do not know about opening these files, but this web page says delete them…
http://www.stiller.com/shs.htm

Is this a image that displays in your e-mail package?

MS Word uses shs files
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=http://suppor t.microsoft.com:80/support/kb/articles/Q138/2/75.asp&NoW ebContent=1

And a bit of discussion on how to make a scrap file format a disk, and other thing one might not want to know about shs files.

Unless you *really* know the person who sent you that file, and *really* trust them, it’s probably **NOT** a picture … it **IS** probably a virus or Trojan horse program.

Delete it.
