Dear Experienced PhotoShop Users,

I have begun to do some work for a cosmetic dentist who uses digital imagery in his practice. Up to now, we send patient images off to have their smiles digitally enhanced, but the doctor is anxious for me to try my hand at it as well.

I have mastered whitening fairly quickly, but am struggling with lengthening teeth, rounding corners, recreating more youthful smiles, etc.

(*Several of you have posted with excellent tips and because of them I’ve managed to advanced my skills as a result of them. Many thanks!.)

I’ve spent much of today running searching on the photo retouching of teeth and am not quite coming up with the tutorial/book I think I need. It has to be specific to dental practices, i.e., "rounding incisal embrazures" or "approximating the golden proportion", are terms he uses to describe what he wants.

Does anyone else have experience in this? If so, what materials did you use to educate yourself? Books? Classes? Better search criteria?

TIA,

Kelly Kirsch

they have some Photoshop Video tutorials that start from the basics to a somewhat intermediate level of photoshop tools. Yes you do have to register but it is free no credit card info or anything, and they are Video tutorials not text documents.

Good Luck hope they help!!!!
