If I want to draw tapering lines in PS7, as for example adding pale streaks to hair, where the added lines taper in width and/or opacity, how would I accomplish this using a mouse?
Would a Wacom type of pressure tablet be ideal and does PS7 support this?

The Smudge tool does this if you set strength less than 100%. Th e lower the strength, the faster it tapers out. Try it with one of the texture brushes.

CS’s new brush engine does eactly what you want, but only if you have a graphics tablet. Yoou’d need both CS and the tablet.
