I have been able to use PS Element and it’s a breeze doing this task. However, I noticed that all the metadata that I have from my camera,ie camera settings, date, time etc. all that goes away once the convertion is done. Is this normal?

How could I do this and yet be able to retain all the data?

Thanks

Myke, not an answer, but a different question. Why do people need the exif data? I don’t understand the use of it, as copying is almost impossible as the situation will always be different a next time.

The eXIF data is very useful to those who want to improve their photographs. If something is wrong with the picture, then the EXIF data can lead the photographer to the cause, and suggest a way to get a better image next time. I also VERY much like the ability to determine the exact time and date the picture was taken for reference years later.
