I want to extract an object from a picture and have just that object as my image, but when I go to save it keeps giving me a white background behind my object. Am I missing something? I have tried everything to figure it out and I am lost.

How are you saving it?

PSD, TIFF and GIF support transparency. the JPEG format does not.

I tried saving it as all three and I wasn’t able to get it to work. I just retried saving it as a TIFF and I believe it worked. I think before I forgot to check the box for save transparency. Thanks for the help and for the info. I was not aware that JPEG does not support transparency. Thanks again.
