If you’re using Painter 8, are you able to embed a color profile?
I can take a file with an embedded profile in Photoshop and open it in Painter 8 (with the color management controls turned on) and when it’s resaved the profile is stripped out. Basically the Painter 8 CMS seems to do nothing at all, it won’t recognize a profile already embedded and it won’t embed when you save a file.
I’ve posted on the Painter NG but all I got in response was "color management is difficult" … anyone here using Painter and able to embed profiles? It uses the Kodak Color Management System instead of Adobe Conversion or Win ICM, but should be able to do something this simple.
